The European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) needs your endorsement of our Open Letter to the European institutions about improving liver cancer prevention and care.
Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, launched in February 2021, has earmarked EUR 4 billion for actions to reduce the burden of cancer. But there is room for improvement.
EASL believes the plan does not adequately acknowledge the burden of liver cancer in Europe or the potential improvements that are within our grasp if we make immediate steps to improve detection, prevention, awareness and access to care. Systematic screening for liver cancer is one of our principal objectives.
By adding your signature and organisation’s logo to our Open Letter, you can give it greater leverage. If we can catalyse greater prominence for the liver in Europe, positive repercussions will be felt worldwide.
